I suggest the book "Inconceivable" by Julia Indichova. The author had a similar diagnosis, yet went on two have two children (naturally). The book explains all of the different alternative practitioners she went to and what they did for her.
Also, a recent study questions the relationship between high FSH and fertility -- because so many women with high FSH levels are having babies! Yet this information isn't widely used. Go figure. - Cheri

Hi, is there anyone here my age (51) or thereabouts with a baby? My son is 5 months old. While I can really relate to, and sympathize with all the women trying to conceive, my challenge now that I've had the baby I wanted for so long is to find other mothers I can relate to... who are at least from a similar generation.
It's nice to share baby stories and toys and clothes with other mothers around here but, let’s face it, I could be most of their mothers so we don't have so much in common as women...
We're in different stages of our lives. And, although I'm just a new mother (this baby is my first) I am also still a mature woman who has lived a lot and I need the comradery of other women my age..
For instance, I'm not concerned about starting up birth control when I stop breastfeeding but am wondering when menopause is going to start! Many of my concerns are those of a fifty year old, even though I'm carrying my infant son around in a sling, and not my grandson as plenty of people assume. - Sue

My mom was 44 when I was born - my dad was 46 - I am now 40, pregnant with #4, and they are still alive and healthy at 84 and 86. When younger, I wondered would they be there when I got married and had kids, etc. and even not getting married until and not starting a family until 35, they have been there the whole way!!!! Janet

I am 51 with a 2 1/2 year old son - my first and only so far. I am the oldest mom I know of a 2 1/2 year old.
I am the oldest mom at every play group and every mom & me class. I scope each playground, play group, etc., looking for other older moms to make friends with.
I had no intentions of being a stay at home mom when I was pregnant, but could not bring myself to go back to work after my son came home. Now that I am a stay at home mom, I almost feel like I retired from one career and started another one.
