There were nights I cried myself to sleep at night, and was an emotional rollercoaster. But somehow I got through it, and had a beautiful baby boy. He was so precious, even though he didn't sleep for the first six weeks. He is my little love of my life now.

Having a baby at 45 - On Wednesday I went to see an OB/gyn [obstetrician/gynecologist] who performed an ultrasound.
He saw an embryo with a heartbeat ,and measurements suggested a gestational age of 7 weeks 4 days, which would make me about 8 weeks along as I write this.

Guess what? I just turned 45 in November of 2001, and the same thing as you. Surprised and shocked to find myself pregnant. That is now in the past because he is 4 and a half, and I am 50. -- Donna

I just saw a birthing video in my college class... and in it was a 45 year old Mom who thought she was going through menopause - and didn't know she was pregnant for five months! She had a super quick birth; no difficulties during pregnancy or delivery. Beautiful baby girl.
