Meagan Callaghan, 50, desperate to be a mum

A WOMAN is desperately seeking a donor so she can become an IVF mum at 51.

Despite medical risks - and the prospect of having teenagers in her late 60s - Meagan Callaghan, who will be 51 in June, is advertising for donor eggs.

"Life passes by so quickly, one minute you are 20 and the next you are 50," she said yesterday.

"This is my last chance and I'm not going to give up on it.

"I have always wanted to be a mum, but it just hasn't happened."

Ms Callaghan's doctor, Prof Michael Chapman from IVF Australia, said his clinic treated women up to 51.
